Prevention is better

Earthquakes are one of the most unexpected phenomenon human being can ever experience and it makes a even worse trauma if we are not prepared for it. Our government now wants to have this kind of program.

The National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill is a program of the government where everyone should participate because this teaches us what to do whenever an earthquake occur. In this program, people who are mostly included are the one's in schools and offices, then agencies like the Bureau of Fire Protection and Red Cross of the Philippines will come and observe the said activity.

It is important and a must for every Filipino especially when there's a year where they announced the "Big One" , so many people are participating for the drill. But in today's crisis, because we need to follow the protocol like social distancing is now a part of the drill but since it is still prohibited for large mass gathering, there is still no earthquake drill gonna happen.

This pandemic got all of our daily lives into our phones and laptops, from business to education but how are the students keeping up with their academics.

The parents have now another duty inside their home and that is to be a teacher to their children, that is tough and we students are finding ways to keep up but nothing is really effective. Students are now struggling with their academics which now affects their mental health.
The teachers, are trying their best just for their students to understand the lesson but some of them just went more challenging, why? Because their behavior also change, they became stricter because everything is online now after all but little did they know it is not easy because we are also humans not robots, just because we are the generations of technology, it doesn’t mean that it so easy to do nor handle everything.
Yes, we teenagers may be in our phone for the whole day but it doesn’t mean that we are100% agree nor can do everything online that easy. We want to be the voice of our fellow students because our generations are not full of techy robots, we are humans, only more sensitive. We want to you boomers to also considerate our emotions, our problems, how we feel and most importantly our mental health but here we are in front of our screen, trying to focus on the lecture even though nothing ever works, here we are just passing requirements and not learning anything. So please consider our feeling because we’re tired.

COUNTRY OF HEROES

The Philippines has one asset which when people heard the clue word, they think about our country because Filipinos are Kind. Yes, we Filipinos have that personality where sometimes we care of other people more than ourselves.
If the foreigners notice that almost most died heroes and soldiers in some of their countries are Filipino, they care more of their country, their fellow citizen so that is why they step in to whatever war just to protect the Philippines. Although, it doesn’t mean that if you’re dead, you are considered as a hero because a true hero never look for a “Debt of Gratitude”, a simple thank you is enough for them.
Until today, the Philippines still have some heroes like the OFW and those who have a whole hearted kindness. Proudly saying that the morals of kindness is still alive yet it change a bit because some are doing this just for the prize which is wrong. But hoping that in the future, this act of kindness is still in the blood of all Filipinos because Filipinos are Heroes.

We may survived in today's third quarter and we're one step in the direction of finally end this school year, this quarter is such...
